Five DIY Home Face Mask Ideas

When it comes to treating your skin, we all somehow seem to be negligent about it. However, it becomes very important for you to take care of your skin especially if you’ve reached your twenties. Now, there will always be general advice like hydration of the skin or for instance, not rubbing a towel or tissue violently on your skin but always applying gentle pressure instead. These are some great long-term advice for your skin but here is a list of facemasks that you can easily make from scratch at your home and see some great results :

Aloe Vera Gel and Tea Tree Oil: One of the easiest facemasks to make is this one. Here you simply take the  Aloe Vera gel and mix it with the tea tree essential oil to make a nice paste. You can apply it over your skin and let it rest for around 10-15 minutes. Once you’re done, wash it off and observe the change in your skin. However, make sure that your skin isn’t reacting negatively to Tea Tree oil.

Honey and Lemon Face Mask:  Honey and Lemon work as a great mask when they’re applied to tanned skin. Lemon is known to prevent hyperpigmentation, however, it very often ends up drying your skin. You put in honey for the moisture and you’re ready and set to go! The easiest way to prepare this mask is to make two-three tablespoons of honey and mix it with some lemon juice. Once you’ve mixed it well, apply it all over your face and let it sit for a while. After that rinse your face and witness the change.

Gram Flour and Yogurt:  This is again very simple like most of these masks. All you have to do is combine yogurt and gram flour together and mix it well. After that apply it over your skin and leave it for a while. The most immediate change that is often observed is brighter skin. This is also a traditional custom in Indian weddings where it is believed that it helps both the bride and groom glow up.

Potato and Cucumber Mask: Here, you might need some material that isn’t easily available at your house. Take potatoes and grate them along with cucumbers. Then take a compression mask and dip it in the potato and cucumber minced water mixture. Take the mask, unfold it and apply it over your face for fifteen minutes minimum.

These facemasks don’t take a lot of effort to make and prepare but regular use of the right ones that suit your skin the best can result in some great changes. While most of the ingredients used here are natural and easily found at your home, for those that aren’t you can easily log into free Shopify alternatives to window shop them. Sites like TrueGether have a whole variety of cosmetics to choose from for your health and beauty needs, wherein you can find these compressed face masks or other ingredients that you can’t find at home easily.
