To fluff up the suede, use a suede brush to go over each pair of shoes back and forth over the grain. You may use a pair of scissors to cut out pills or stringy parts if the top of the shearling is looking scruffy. Major surgery or the removal of large portions of the bone is not required. Similar to putting a pill remover on a sweater, all you’re doing is eliminating part of the balled-up material.
Spray a Waterproofing Agent on.
Last but not least, sprinkle a coat of waterproofing spray on your suede shoes and wait an hour for them to dry.
